How do I add a Stock Definition?
Navigate to Business Management > Stock > Stock Definitions
Select the Add Stock Definition button for the currency you wish to create categories for.
Under the Create Definition screen, you can name your stock accordingly. There are three different types of accounts under which your stock can be created. They are the Company account, the Group or Outlet account and the User account. Stock from one account can be transferred to another and serve as individual and not cumulative amounts in an account. You can add a description for each stock definition or category that you create. Stocks can be linked to a transaction type, sub-currency or means of payment. If a stock is linked to a cash as a transaction type and means of payment, it will mean that any transaction the teller inputs into the system (that is selected as a cash transaction or payment method), will be debited from this defined stock. When a teller inputs a transaction into the system, the system will surface the different categories of stock that are linked to this currency and payment method.
If you are unable to locate the currency you want to work with, it will need to be set up on the Rates interface.
